Meridian has a strong history in stand-alone Digital/Analogue converters. The 566 is the latest in a long progression that began with the famous 203 DAC in 1988. The 566 incorporates the best of Meridian’s converter technology – including the lowest jitter and brand-new 24- bit conversion. The 566 is capable of decoding digital signals from a wide range of sources and provides three digital inputs and one optical input, and uses the latest 24-bit dual-differential delta-sigma digital to analogue converter, combined with balanced Class A output amplifiers, to achieve extremely low distortion.
